The cotton left-hand glove with wrist snap, 9.5″ in length, and reads: “Walter Yetnikoff, Don Dempsey, Allen Davis, Invite you to a Michael Jackson Thriller Party, 2/7/84, 9PM, American Museum of Natural History, CPW at 79th St., Black Tie, RSVP Susan Blond, Epic Records, 975 5154.”

Michael Jackson attended this premiere of the two Pepsi commercials that he and his brothers filmed for the soft drink company where he took the stage with Alfonso Ribeiro who also appeared on the commercials.
This is an original white promotional glove given out by New York radio station Z100 to promote The Jacksons Victory Tour concerts at Madison Square Garden. The brothers played two sell out shows on August 4 and 5, 1984. While Michael Jackson never officially toured for his “Thriller” album, by this time in 1984 it had sold millions of copies and many songs like Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’, Human Nature, Beat It and Billie Jean were included in the Victory Tour setlist.

The 123-show world tour began on September 12, 1987 in Japan, and concluded on January 27, 1989 in the Los Angeles. It grossed a total of $125 million, making it the second highest-grossing tour of the 1980s. Except for two shows in Hawaii during the HIStory Tour, this would be the only time that Michael Jackson would tour the United States as a solo artist.
